Health screening and referral activities would be facilitated with appropriately qualified health professionals and services.
We work with schools, teachers and communities to understand practical challenges affecting children and identify areas where support is needed.
Support is shaped by the need identified and may include essential supplies, meal-related resources, hygiene materials or other items that improve children’s everyday school experience.
We work with the people closest to the children to help ensure support is appropriate and reaches those it is intended to help.
Where appropriate, we follow up after projects and share updates with donors, partners and supporters about what was provided and the difference their support helped make.
During a visit to Ashaiman Public School, GNF observed that some students did not have plates or bowls for their school meals. Some received food in clear plastic bags, while others were unable to receive a meal because they had no container.
This inspired GNF’s first school-support initiative: working to provide approximately 500 students with durable, reusable stainless-steel meal trays, together with food-service containers for the school.
