Stainless-Steel Compartment Trays
Durable, reusable meal trays intended for student meal service.

GNF is beginning with focused initiatives designed to meet practical needs and create meaningful support for children and schools.
During a visit to Ashaiman Public School, Gifty Nartey Foundation observed that some students did not have plates or bowls for their school meals. Some received their food in clear plastic bags, while others were unable to receive a meal because they had no container.
We also observed students helping to serve meals from containers placed on the classroom floor.
These observations inspired GNF’s first school-support initiative: providing durable, reusable stainless-steel meal trays and food-service containers to help improve the way meals are served to students at the school.
A child should not miss a school meal simply because they do not have a bowl. GNF is working to provide approximately 500 students at Ashaiman Public School with durable, reusable stainless-steel meal trays, together with food-service containers for the school.
Support This ProjectThe first phase is intentionally focused on the items most directly connected to serving meals to students.

Stainless steel was selected for its durability, reusability, ease of cleaning and suitability for repeated school meal service. Investing in long-lasting reusable mealware can also reduce dependence on disposable or frequently replaced alternatives.
Additional support can help GNF extend the initiative to reach more students and address other meal-service needs identified with the school.
